    ABOUT THE ARTIST:

    Born in Lisbon in 1960.  She began her training in England with courses in Textile Design and the Foundation Course at Hertfordshire College of Art and Design in the United Kingdom, and in Lisbon she attended the Printmaking and Painting workshops at Ar.Co. This multidisciplinary artist has been developing work in areas as diverse as painting, drawing, illustration, graphic design, ceramics, tapestry, and set design. Her work is represented in important public and private collections, in institutions such as Banco Espírito Santo, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation's Modern Art Centre, the Carmona e Costa Foundation, the PLMJ Foundation, and the Museums of Contemporary Art in Funchal and Elvas.
