Nélio Saltão was born in 1949 in Amieiro (Alijó), being an "honored" member of the Estoril Art Gallery. A painter of great quality, he finds in red his color of choice, designating one of his best exhibitions, in January 2008, precisely that: "Vermelho" (Red). His exhibitions are abstract color festivals, in strong and powerful tones, in praise of color and beauty itself.
